Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
This is a condition characterized by pain in the hand and arm, which may radiate to the elbow and up. The pain is usually associated by numbness and tingling sensation. Other symptoms include discomfort in the pal and rest. This condition is caused by a compressed nerve located in the carpal tunnel.

What is PERIPHERAL NERVE INJECTION?
Peripheral nerve blocks are utilized to manage nerve pain, also known as neuralgia. Nerve injury can be caused by trauma, compression, ischemia (damage from inadequate blood supply), or toxic exposure to a nerve.
What does the procedure look like?
The procedure involves an injection of a local anesthetic-steroid mixture in proximity to the injured nerve, decreasing the transmission of pain signals to and along the nerve. In some cases, involving sensory nerves, temperature-based therapy such as cryotherapy or radiofrequency lesioning may be used as a long-term pain solution. Terminal cases can call for substances such as phenol and alcohol to be utilized, providing long-term relief. While any complication from this procedure is rare, there may be a risk of infection, bruising, or damage to the nerve.
